Laura E. Linde, D.P.M

Dr. Laura Linde is an accomplished foot surgeon, podiatric clinician, and wound care specialist who is delighted to join Foot & Ankle Associates, LTD.

Dr. Linde earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.  As a scholarship recipient, she then entered Chicago’s Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, subsequently affiliated with Rosalind Franklin University.  In 2004, Dr. Linde was awarded a degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. 

Dr. Linde completed a nationally-recognized, three-year residency program in podiatric medicine and advanced foot and ankle surgery at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (Veterans’ Administration Chicago Healthcare System).  Dr. Linde rose to the rank of Chief Resident in Podiatric Surgery training in the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art techniques and procedures in foot and ankle surgery.  During her residency, Dr. Linde also treated a diverse array of foot and ankle pathologies.  From the most advanced wound care to the latest techniques in arthroscopy & endoscopy, to major foot and ankle reconstruction, Dr. Linde's diagnostic and clinical skills have been well honed over the course of her career. 

Dr. Linde received a European fellowship in Foot and Ankle Surgery during which she worked beside some of the most well-known orthopedic foot and ankle surgeons and trauma surgeons in the world.  As a result of this fellowship, Dr. Linde keeps abreast of the latest international developments in foot and ankle surgery and patient care.     

Already a seasoned clinician and foot surgeon, Dr. Linde serves as a clinical and surgical instructor in the Veterans Administration Chicago Healthcare System training future doctors of podiatry.  Moreover, as a result of Dr. Linde’s proficiency in wound care, she teaches a seminar for nurses and physicians explaining the nuances of wound care for the foot and ankle.  Finally, she has instructed foot surgeons in the United States and Europe in workshops on reconstructive surgical techniques as well as limb salvage techniques.  

Dr. Linde has lectured at several Postgraduate Research Symposia in foot and ankle surgery.  She co-authored an empirical study on plantar fascitiis which currently awaits publication. 

Dr. Linde’s podiatric services include: lower extremity sports injuries, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, bioengineered skin grafting, limb salvage, arthroscopy, fracture management, joint replacement, fusions, surgical laser techniques, charcot reconstruction, diabetic wound care, transplant surgery techniques, and fixation devices.  

She is on the surgical staff of Advocate Christ Hospital and Medical Center, Little Company of Mary Hospital, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, and Jesse Brown VA Medical Center.  She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, and the Academy of Wound Care Specialists.  

A lifelong athlete, Dr. Linde’s career in podiatry sprang from her passion for various sports and outdoor activities, which she continues to this day.
