Emil J. Zager, D.P.M.

Dr. Emil Zager attained his Bachelors degree in Biology from St. Xavier College in 1990 where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then attended Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 1994. During his time there he received the Half Tuition Scholarship.

Following graduation Dr. Zager completed a one-year residency at Oak Forest Hospital. One year later he completed a one year surgical residency at West Side V.A. medical center. In 1997 Dr. Zager finished his postgraduate training by completing a Surgical Fellowship under Dr. John Grady.

Taking an interest to teaching, Dr. Zager serves as a clinical and surgical instructor at West Side V.A. medical center. He has lectured on many topics varying from Diabetic Charcot Arthropathy and Charcot Foot Reconstruction to Ankle Joint Implantation. In addition, Dr. Zager is active in participating in and directing training workshops dealing with Ankle and Subtalor Joint Arthroscopy as well as external/internal fixation devices and Diabetic Charcot Reconstruction.

Dr. Zager is a member of both the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association as well as the American Podiatric Medical Association. He currently is on the Surgical Staff with Ingalls Memorial Hospital, West Side V.A. Medical Center and Little Company of Mary Hospital.
